This depends on - you probably guessed it - clicks on ads. During the European summer months, the contribution is often lower because people would rather be outside, whereas in winter the revenue peaks (especially around Christmas). What is a "heart"?

Everytime you search using Volte you contribute in giving and helping the world. You accumulate small hearts that you see on the top right corner of your screen. Those hearts translate into support given to the organization you selected.

Why the name "Volte"?

Volte with an e, echoes the word “Revolution”. Incidentally, you will remember “Volt” is the name of the dog in the international Disney cartoon 'Volt, star in spite of himself', a bit like Lycos, a dog will look for information, it's nice, faithful, man's best friend.
"Volta”, in American SF literature from Bradbury to the French today with Alain Damasio, was often the acronym used to symbolize a group of diehards fighting against a system.

How does it work?

Volte is a small extention you add to your browser on your desktop. It highlights ads that help make the world a better place. We partner with over 1000+ brands so that when you browse and shop with them, part of the ad revenue goes back to the cause of your choice. When you see the heart logo, just click on it to find what you were looking for but contributing to your NGO.

How much donation is made?

Volte gives 80% of the profits from the ad revenue to the projects chosen by users.

How can I be sure the support goes to the right hands?

All of our causes follow Epic's strict auditing processes or sign a contract with Volte, which binds them to an eventual audit or commitment to the ethical use of funds, following Volte's thorough verification and due diligence. If an organization does not meet the minimum compliance threshold, the support is redistributed to the Epic Foundation as explained in the facility's disclaimer. In addition, Volte is available by contract to be audited by NGO partners.
